Local Eyes Project

When locals are taking our travel pictures

Local Eyes Project

To discover a country and its culture, the best solution still remains to share moments with its inhabitants. With the desire to come back from this journey with way more than a souvenir photo album, we had the idea of sending disposable cameras to locals of the Americas so that they could photograph what a tourist wouldn’t perhaps had the idea or opportunity to capture.

THE PROJECT

Total freedom was left to the participants, we just wanted to discover through a local vision, various cities and lifestyles. To know a little bit more about their personnality and experience, we asked them a few questions in front of our camera. They are 20 to have opened their door to us, 20 strangers who accepted, during a few hours or a few days, to let us into their lives and it is your turn now to see through their eyes.

THE ROUTE

Our route has been drawn through locals who we found through social networks, friends and contacts. From Alaska to the west coast of the US, via Vancouver, we first explored North America. It is through Peru, Bolivia and Brazil that we discovered South America.
