Today, GeoGuessr players can recognize any place on Earth in seconds — just from a patch of grass, a type of tree, or even a single road sign. But what if all those landmarks disappeared? Climate change is reshaping our landscapes faster than we realize. Scientific reports are clear, but for most people, the data remains invisible. We needed a way to make it impossible to ignore.
We created FutureGuessr — a twist on GeoGuessr that doesn’t drop you into the world as it is…but into the world as it could be in 2100, if nothing changes. A geography game turned into a climate shock.
We built a custom local AI model, trained solely on IPCC data — no open datasets, no cloud computing — keeping energy use low. Each image preserves real topography, making transformations disturbing yet believable. FutureGuessr delivers a playable, visual future built from science, not speculation.
